The Trust endevours to continue a programme of complimentary new plantings and introductions, concentrate on the restoration of the more important and unique structures and improve the standard of the current facilities and install those that we might lack. All this with the aim and intention of providing a more attractive, useful venue that may be better utilised by the community and offer increased opportunity for a wider range of activities. The restoration and development of the gardens is actioned at a rate that we can realistically achieve and that funds will allow.
The attached pages detailing the management plan and required actions, primarily for the walled gardens were produced to provide an expert formal plan to detail the various tasks and projects and how they should be implemented and to ensure that any restoration is carried out correctly so that the historic integrity of the property and buildings is retained as closely as possible. That does not mean that we have to follow and implement every recommendation, but the plan will be of great assistance in any grant application for restoration projects we might undertake.
